Glorious retrofuture from Japan

Hello Fintech Friends,

I'm still feeling the energy from this week's Mexico City fintech immersion program - the enthusiasm in the Mexican and LatAm fintech ecosystem is contagious, and in-spite of the VC pullback, there is an incredible amount of momentum among early-stage startups.

Yesterday, we had JP Morgan's Chief Economist for Mexico & Central America give a talk to contextualize fintech in the narrative of broader economic changes.

And speaking of LatAm fintech, our KYC platform portfolio company Zenpli recently talked on the major identity verification gaps still to be resolved across Latin America (in Spanish).

Lastly, it looks like we missed one partnership announcement yesterday! Navan and Citi announced a new joint travel and expense system for Citi Commercial cardholders:

Citi inks deal with fintech Navan, says ‘not having to file an expense report is like nirvana’ | TechCrunch
The fintech and the card giant announced a new, jointly branded travel and expense system designed for Citi Commercial (CCB) cardholders.
